PART TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (20 hours per week)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing daily accounting tasks and general office administration, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and QuickBooks data entry. The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and experienced in handling financial records and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION – Accounting Assistant

JOB LOCATION – Port Washington, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Part-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) –  1st Shift (flexible hours) 20 hours per week.

STARTING PAY – $20+ per hour

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – At least 2 years of experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Process ACH payments and accurately record transactions in QuickBooks
• Manage A/P and A/R, including entering payments and reconciling accounts
• Organize and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
• Locate, file, and submit invoices and payments, including submission to MAP
• File receipts and maintain organized financial records
• Monitor and order office supplies as needed
• Send reminders on past-due accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
• Prepare and cut checks; deposit checks as required

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel)
• Experience in A/P and A/R processes
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Previous experience in an office administrative or bookkeeping role is preferred
