AP Accountant to support the local team and communicate with the global team | Work-life balance, career path, flexible working

Description

* Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper authorization and matching with purchase orders or contracts.
* Prepare and schedule vendor payments while ensuring accurate general ledger recording.
* Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring policy compliance and proper categorization.
* Assist with financial reporting, AP sub-ledger closure, and reconciliation with the general ledger.
* Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and fraud prevention measures.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and provide necessary documentation for audits.

Profile

* Preferred background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar work.
* Skilled in accounting software and Excel.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Good communicator for handling vendors and internal teams.
* Able to multitask, meet deadlines, and apply accounting knowledge.
* Fluent in Japanese and English.
