Client Profile

An established, accredited international school in the Kansai region is seeking dedicated professionals to join its diverse and dynamic community. With over a century of history, the school offers a comprehensive, English-language education from early childhood through high school, following globally recognized academic programs.

The Role

• Process and manage vendor invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Verify invoice details, match with purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions in compliance with internal policies
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
• Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with both USGAAP and JGAAP
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments (in both Japanese and English) to resolve payment or invoice issues
• Assist in audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including Japanese consumption tax handling
• Participate in process improvement initiatives for greater efficiency and controlProven experience in accounts payable or related finance/accounting function

Your Skills

• Strong understanding of both USGAAP and JGAAP reporting standards
• Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Team player with effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent in Japanese & English
