The Role

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Design and Development :
  • Design and develop electronic hardware components for automotive systems (e.g., ECUs, sensors, actuators, communication modules).
  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes for automotive hardware.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with software systems.
  1. Testing and Validation :
  • Conduct hardware validation tests (environmental, electrical, and mechanical).
  • Perform functional testing to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Debug and resolve issues identified during testing phases.
  1. Compliance and Documentation :
  • Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, etc.).
  • Maintain thorough documentation for designs, test procedures, and validation results.
  1. Research and Innovation :
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in automotive hardware and electronics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions.
  1. Project Management :
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers for component selection and sourcing.
  • Support project timelines and deliverables, ensuring on-time delivery of hardware solutions.

Ideal Profile

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive hardware design and development.
  • Proficiency in tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar EDA tools.
  • Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
