Job Description

Are you passionate about the aviation industry and ready to take your career to new heights? We are on the lookout for a seasoned Aviation Industry Expert to elevate our strategic engagement with aviation clients. As the vital link between our delivery teams and aviation stakeholders, you will identify high-impact opportunities, craft innovative solutions that align with industry trends, and drive value across the enterprise.

In this role, you will act as the strategic bridge, connecting our delivery teams with aviation stakeholders to uncover and shape high-impact opportunities. You will design solutions that resonate with industry trends and help scale value across the enterprise. Your deep domain knowledge of the aviation ecosystem, including operations, passenger experience, airport IT systems, and regulatory context, paired with a strong grasp of modern technologies such as cloud platforms, data analytics, digital transformation, and AI, will be crucial.

You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, industry partners, and internal teams to validate use cases and guide solution design. This is an opportunity to be part of a team deeply embedded in the next-generation data and digital strategy for our clients, with the potential to scale that impact across the aviation sector. You will have the autonomy to shape offerings, build relationships, and drive meaningful change using cutting-edge platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and more.

If you are ready to soar with us and be a part of our journey we want to hear from you!

Location: Hybrid within the GTA

Status: Contract/Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary aviation domain advisor to support current and future initiatives for aviation sector clients
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities aligned to airport operations, security, sustainability, passenger services, data platforms, and digital modernization
  • Bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery, translating aviation use cases into actionable roadmaps
  • Partner with client executives and internal stakeholders to shape, influence, and co-author strategic initiatives
  • Represent Adastra in industry forums and events, contributing thought leadership and building relationships with key decision-makers in the aviation space
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, solution architects, and delivery leads to guide proposal development and ensure solutions reflect sector context
  • Monitor trends in aviation tech, data governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance to inform client strategy

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the aviation or airport operations sector, ideally with exposure to large airport authorities (e.g. GTAA, Vancouver, Montreal, Heathrow, JFK, etc)
  • Deep understanding of airport operations, passenger processing, terminal management systems, baggage handling, safety and compliance, and/or airside logistics
  • Proven track record of leading or advising digital transformation projects within an airport or aviation context
  • Exposure to enterprise IT platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle, SAP, and airport-specific systems like AODB, RMS, or AMS is an asset
  • Strong understanding of data-driven transformation — analytics, data governance, cloud migration, and AI/ML applications
  • Ability to think strategically while diving into operational and process-level challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with C-level credibility
  • Strong storytelling and presentation abilities for executive engagements and RFPs
