Job Description

To provide timely and accurate financial and non-financial information for identification of risks and opportunities which the business is facing, in order to support decision making at all levels of the organisation, both within the product company and wider business

To provide high quality interpretation of financial analysis and variances between actual data, Standard cost roll, forecasts and comparable periods in order to assist management in implementing strategies and operational changes, participation in corporate short term and long terms business plans

1. Prepare and be able to present pertinent analysis of full P&L and Balance sheet, understanding drivers and trends, along with identifying opportunities and risks. This is highly significant around close reporting to ensure results are accurate, and that movements and trends can be explained.
2. Production of bridges (year on year, month on month etc) presented with clear understanding and analysis.
3. Support the functions with spend analysis, which will require close liaison with functional heads and cost centre managers to understand the drivers behind the spend. Supporting functional leads in preparation of forecasts, and understanding of any variances to actual spend
4. Assist in the process for the entity 3-year plan, using cost trend knowledge and relationship with cost owners.
5. Support the activity of the BC – assisting with board pack presentation, liaison with entities to understand spend trends and gain exposure to senior management to support the functional efficiency of the organization. This will also include projection of spend both at functional and but project level.
6. Contribute to some areas of the governance of organization, to include but not limited to cost centre structure, maintenance and GL usage.
7. Review of existing reporting and make change proposals to all stakeholders in order to improve relevance and usefulness
8. Ad hoc analysis as and when required, this could come from one of many stakeholders – BC, Senior Management, Divisions.

Education level: University degree Finance or similar

Relevant learning experience: +3 years in a financial analysis environment with P&L & Balance sheet also strong knowledge of business

Knowledge areas/Skills: MS Office, SAP, BW, BPC, MS – advantage. International experience, effective verbal and written communications, pro-active approach and ability to recognize and drive changes and improvements

Other requirements: English fluent - written and spoken skills, good communication skills with a curious mind, logical thinking, Business acumen, change mangement skills, time mangement to secure reporting, Japanese fluent
