Job Description

Civil Superintendent – Highway Projects | Fraser Valley | 120-160k

I'm working with a highly respected and well-established civil contractor that’s currently looking to bring on an experienced Civil Superintendent for highway infrastructure projects across the Fraser Valley.

This is a great opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation in the heavy civil space, working on some of the region’s most complex and rewarding projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supervising on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on budget.
  • Leading and mentoring crews and subcontractors.
  • Coordinating with project teams, trades, and clients to meet performance and quality standards.
  • Preparing work plans, determining manpower and equipment needs, and managing materials.
  • Executing construction plans and schedules.
  • Driving site meetings and fostering communication across all levels of the project.
  • Addressing site challenges using solid field experience and engineering principles.
  • Working alongside the Project Manager to maintain safety protocols and documentation.
  • Managing day-to-day project documentation and stakeholder communication.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Civil Superintendent overseeing earthworks and underground utility projects.
  • Additional field experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or Field Engineer is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost control, scheduling, and contract language.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling/project management software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional night shifts.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
