Computational Chemist (Full-Time)

Role Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Computational Chemist with a strong focus in binding free energy calculations to join our team. This role is pivotal in applying and developing molecular dynamics simulations and molecular docking techniques to predict how small molecules interact with biological targets. While no prior experience in machine learning is required, the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team where computational chemistry insights are vital to enhancing our machine learning-driven drug discovery processes.

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Ph.D. in Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, or a closely related discipline, with a strong emphasis on molecular simulations.
• Industry Experience: At least two years in small molecule drug discovery, focusing on molecular modeling and binding free energy calculations.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in molecular dynamics, molecular docking, and especially binding free energy calculations. Proficiency with modeling software such as Schrodinger, GROMACS, or Ambertools. Familiarity with Python and cheminformatics libraries like RDKit is beneficial but not required.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and a strong desire to engage in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
