About The Remix Project:  The Remix Project aims to level the playing field for talented youth who face barriers pursuing careers in arts and entertainment. Through multidisciplinary arts training, students focus on personal and professional development to strengthen the creative community and help shape the next generation of industry leaders.

Position Overview:  We are seeking a Content Creator & Social Media Manager to develop and execute a compelling content strategy that enhances The Remix Project’s digital presence. This individual will be responsible for capturing, producing, and distributing engaging content, as well as managing a team of content creators for large-scale initiatives.

Work Environment: This is a  hybrid position based in Toronto, ON. The role will require  on-site presence at The Remix Project facility for content capture, meetings, and key events, with flexibility for remote work when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a  strategic content plan aligned with The Remix Project’s mission and programming.
• Capture  high-quality photo and video content of programming, events, and day-to-day activities at The Remix Project facility.
• Edit and publish  both short-form and long-form content for social media platforms.
• Craft compelling and on-brand  text copy for social media posts .
• Design  flyers and promotional materials for The Remix Project’s events and initiatives.
• Oversee and coordinate a  team of content creators for larger-scale activations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in  photography, videography, graphic design, and content editing .
• Experience using  various editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
• Strong  organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines .
• Expertise in  social media strategy and platform optimization .
• Ability to  develop creative concepts that align with The Remix Project’s brand identity.
• Experience managing and directing a  team of content creators .

Compensation : $40-$45 per hour
