The Role

• Responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The Controller will lead month-end and year-end closing processes, manage budgeting and forecasting, and coordinate audits and tax filings. This role also partners closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Your Skills

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Japan/US GAAP), tax, and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English (written and verbal)
• Ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and drive process improvements
• High attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive, hands-on approach
