A global pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in Japan, who are continuing to invest in key facilities across the country.

The Role

* You will be working with global and local stakeholders to manage data center projects that serve the company's manufacturing facilities in Tohoku. There will be some short trips (probably 2-3 days each time) to the factories to ensure operations and projects are up to the correct standard.
* The data centers you'll be working on will directly impact manufacturing and production operations, so you'll be working in both English and Japanese to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders on all matters relating to the equipment within the data centers, and the operation/upkeep of the facility.

Your Skills

* Fluent Japanese and English skills are mandatory for this role.
* Strong understanding and knowledge of data centers and related infrastructure such as servers, storage, networking, power, and electrical systems.
* If you are managing huge datacenters at a major tech company, this probably isn't the right fit - the scale is smaller, but focused on critical manufacturing operations.
* This is an individual contributor role, but there is upward mobility in the role.
