Job Description

We are looking for a Database Administrator who will administer and support Fundserv’s Oracle database installations and provide 3rd level operations support for database-related issues.

In this role, you will…

• Install and configure Oracle databases including upgrades and patch management
• Ensure that the database functional specifications address the business requirements and comply with architectural & technical constraints
• Collaborate with other groups such as the development team, customer service, executive on new database designs and modifications to existing applications
• Maintain a secure database by patching and utilizing database best practices
• Control and coordinate changes to the various database environments
• Provides recommendations, explanations, guidance to other teams in the organization with respect to projects, BAU and infrastructure.
• 24/7 support coverage on a rotational basis

Why you are the person we’re looking for…

Using Oracle 19c or later , you’ve demonstrated the ability to do the following , gained through education and/or experience:

• Maintain databases using knowledge of Oracle database architecture, including understanding of tablespaces, data files, redo logs, and control files on various environments
• Support end to end database administration using ExaCC/Exadata
• Utilize SQL and PL/SQL for database querying, scripting and automation
• Utilize Oracle database performance tuning techniques such as indexing, partitioning optimizer hints.
• Knowledge of RMAN (Recovery Manager) and OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager)
• Understanding of disaster recovery solutions
• Oracle GI/DB patching, database upgrade or migration
• Utilize Oracle architecture understanding and PL/SQL to create various reports
