This role will be based out of Tokyo. Are you ready to inspire and educate students and leaders about the benefits and power of Apple products? In this role you will ensure that the voice of the education customer is reflected throughout Apple’s broader marketing efforts! The Education Marketing Manager will own and drive the product centric marketing strategy for education market in Japan. You will be part of a team of product experts who champion products within their respective markets and seek innovative ways to keep our products at the heart of the customer conversation. The Education Marketing Manager must have the ability to work collaboratively with other critical functions, Product Marketing, Marcom, PR, Finance and Sales, to articulate and shape the opportunity ahead for the education market. Description

- Set the strategic direction and drive tactical execution of marketing programs and channel campaigns to support Apple's efforts in education market in Japan - Collaborate with a team of passionate, creative, and self-directed individuals - Design and launch programs for students and institutions - Create visual and engaging content that can be delivered across mediums to support Apple’s strategic vision - Collaborate with teams in Marketing, Sales, Marcom, PR and Retail to drive program priorities, narratives and results - Track performance of initiatives and overall customer momentum in education across strategic focus areas

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of program management and marketing experience in the education or related industries
  • Creative and authentic storyteller with exceptional writing, editing, and design skills in both Japanese and English
  • History of building meaningful marketing programs and content with high impact
  • Experience leading creatives and agencies

  • MS/MA/MBA preferred but not conditional
  • Strong ties to the ed-tech community and education leaders, and an understanding of the drivers of higher ed technology purchase decisions
  • Experience building and leading projects and influencing cross-functional partners
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and very high standards of quality
  • Ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Openminded, patient listener and active participant
  • Fluency in Apple technology
  • Possess expert knowledge of competitive and third party products, software applications and market trends across consumer and education segments
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 30% of the time)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strategic planning expertise
  • Negotiation skills
