Dear Future Copywriter,

We are looking to add a kickass copywriter to our team. We only work with ecommerce companies and only do email & SMS, so we're looking for copywriters who've had experience with both: ecommerce & email.

More than anything, we’re looking for a copywriter who understands conversion and can speak to customers in their language while also following the brand guidelines for voice & tone. 

We don’t work with businesses wanting to make a quick buck. We work with businesses that solve people's problems and care deeply about their customers. We get giddy about their customers. 

Your main goal in this job:

Write copy for e-commerce brands' emails, SMS messages, and on-site popups that sell their products without sounding salesy. Understand the shoppers' psychology and speak to them in their language (and the brand's voice & tone). Be as human and specific as possible in your copy.

In this role you will learn:

1. How to be obsessed with continuous improvement by looking for opportunities to optimize email & SMS performance of our managed accounts: from small things (like subject line improvements) to big things (like re-writing automation flows).
2. How to be a tactical and strategic Copywriter that loves being in the weeds, understanding how copy connects strategy and design to affect the reader in the intended way.
3. All about Ecommerce and DTC Marketing.

The team

We’re a small, tight-knit, fully remote, fully awesome team. You’ll fit in well if you know how to take feedback but can also push back with solid reasoning when you see fit. You’ll also fit in well if you love puns, pets, and efficient processes.

The engagement would start part-time on an hourly basis (10-15 hrs/week), but ideally we'd scale you to 25-30 hrs/week within a month or so (if it's a good fit). We’re also growing fast and your growth is unlimited!

You’ll fit in if:

• You like to have the option to work from wherever, whenever, as long as you deliver top-notch material on time 
• You absolutely love copywriting
• You like to take initiative . Whether it’s asking questions or leading revisions, you like thinking proactively — even without specific instructions
• You hit your deadlines every single time, and if you’re running behind, you let us know in advance rather than leave it to the last moment
• You know how to take feedback graciously, whether it’s from your team or from a client. You don't like to get the same feedback twice.
• You value transparency 
• You aren’t afraid to ask questions (if you’re unsure about anything, just ask, we want you to feel 100% confident with your work)
• You are a clear, effective communicator, you’re kind and curious 

You MUST HAVE:

• Experience in copywriting AND experience with either ecommerce or email (if you have both, you're automatically on the shortlist!)
• Examples of stuff you wrote recently that you can send with your application
• A stable internet connection
• A growth mindset: if a campaign isn’t generating enough revenue, you find out ways to make it better (and you ENJOY the process of making it drive more revenue, engagement, etc)

Where will you work?

We all work remotely and always have. We are scattered around the US, Canada, Serbia, Georgia, Argentina, Brazil and more. This means you have the flexibility to work from home anywhere in the world — provided you are available 9am - 1pm Pacific hours (PST) (as our clients are in North America).

As our Copywriter, we expect you to be a self-starter, proactive in every way. You will be an "in-the-weeds" daily operator and an essential contributor to our success.
