We're currently on the lookout for a creative and data-savvy email marketing expert to join our team and take on the full responsibilities of our email strategy and execution.

Position Overview:

We're looking for a creative and data-driven Email Marketing Expert to take full ownership of our email strategy. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing high-performing email campaigns that connect with our audience, reflect our brand voice, and drive customer engagement.

You’ll have the chance to entirely build and optimize our email marketing strategy, from automating flows to creating compelling newsletters and promotional campaigns. You'll be working closely with our marketing team to ensure consistency in brand messaging and help us reach new milestones in customer engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute all email marketing initiatives, including campaigns and automations.

  • Design and build on-brand, mobile-first emails in Klaviyo.

  • Write compelling hooks and copy that resonate with different customer personas.

  • Manage email segmentation, list health, and A/B testing for optimal performance.

  • Align email strategy with product launches, sales, and seasonal promos.

  • Continuously optimize flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, etc.) to drive engagement and conversions.

  • Monitor email analytics and provide actionable insights for ongoing improvements.

  • Ensure brand tone, visuals, and messaging are always consistent across all email touchpoints.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and marketing teams to ensure email content aligns with broader company goals.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, implementing innovative email strategies to keep campaigns fresh and effective.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in email marketing strategy with a strong track record of creating high-converting campaigns and flows.

  • Expertise in Klaviyo (automation, campaigns, segmentation, reporting) and Shopify integration.

  • Strong ability to handle email copywriting and design, creating compelling content that aligns with brand tone.

  • In-depth understanding of ecommerce customer lifecycle and segmentation strategy.

  • Results-driven with a proactive mindset and a focus on data analysis to drive improvements.

  • Highly skilled in A/B testing and using performance data to optimize email campaigns.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write engaging, brand-aligned copy for various customer personas.

  • Detail-oriented, ensuring consistency and quality in every email sent.

  • Experience working with email analytics and deriving actionable insights to enhance future campaigns.

Must Haves:

  • Klaviyo (automation, campaigns, segmentation, and reporting).

  • Shopify (and how it integrates with Klaviyo).

  • Email copywriting and design.

  • Ecommerce customer lifecycle and segmentation strategy.

  • Loyalty and subscription email workflows.

  • Performance analysis and testing (A/B, subject lines, CTAs, etc.).

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with children’s brands or DTC ecommerce.

  • Some experience with SMS or push notification strategy.

Position Details:

  • Freelance and/or part-time Email Marketing Strategist (Klaviyo / Shopify).

  • Part-time position available, depending on our discussions and mutual fit.

  • Remote: Work from home with flexible hours.

  • Compensation: $1,500-2,000 per month.

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate your workflow. About 4 - 8 hours of estimated work per week.
