Job Description

Airswift is working with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry to find an Energy Advisor (IRP) to join their team in North York, ON or Chatham, ON. This is a 12-months contract with the possibility of extension.

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Energy Advisor to join the IRP Energy Conservation team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the design and operational delivery of geo-targeted residential energy efficiency and demand response programs. Your work will directly support the company's Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) efforts and regulatory objectives, helping build a more sustainable energy future.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of targeted residential energy conservation and demand response programs.

  • Oversee program delivery through internal teams and third-party delivery agents.

  • Manage program budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop promotional strategies and allocate marketing budgets.

  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless program operation and integration with broader DSM initiatives.

  • Continuously evolve program design and delivery based on evaluation insights and performance data.

  • Prepare program reports to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Contribute to the drafting and defense of Ontario Energy Board (OEB) IRP filings and implement approved decisions.

  • Lead consultation with external stakeholders to inform and improve residential program offerings.

Who You Are:

  • A university graduate in Business, Economics, Environmental Studies, or a related field.

  • You bring 4+ years of progressive experience in energy conservation, program design, marketing, or management.

  • You have strong project management skills, with experience managing budgets and vendors.

  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities including change management.

  • You’re an excellent communicator and relationship-builder with a customer-first mindset.

  • You're a natural problem solver, able to balance competing priorities and drive actionable outcomes.

Additional Details:

Contract Duration: 1 year (possibility of 14-month extension)

Schedule: Hybrid 5/40 (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday remotely)
