Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr
Summary: The Executive Pastor is responsible to work closely with the Senior Pastor and Senior Leadership Team to provide executive leadership, management and strategic planning for Bethany Community Church.
Location: Central Services, works out of BCC Green Lake Office and/or North office
Reports to: Senior Pastor
FLSA Status: Exempt, full-time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build sustainability and lead Bethany's organizational design and development and operational excellence in support of Senior Pastor: Design, develop and implement organizational and operational improvements and best practices, in collaboration with executive leadership, staff, and Council.
Lead in discernment and development of organizational structure and leadership efforts needed to accomplish Bethany’s goals, strategic and annual priorities.
Synchronize strategic planning and Human Resources functions such as annual planning process, rhythm of business, annual goal-setting, staffing, and budget plans across BCC.
Provide leadership in Bethany’s priorities for thriving locations and the fulfillment of Vision 2030: Collaborate with Senior Pastor, Central Services, ministry leaders and Council to establish and maintain healthy locations.
Encourage, manage and provide executive oversight of the Lead Pastors of several Bethany locations. Regularly provide preaching or hosting across a variety of Bethany locations on Sundays.
Align efforts, innovations, best practices and gifts of BCC locations, All BCC ministries, and BCC central services for the flourishing of BCC.
Engage deeply in the projects and responsibilities of the Senior Leadership Team: Management of special and on-going projects such as: Congregational Survey, Vision 2030 theme teams, Risk and Crisis Management, and All BCC priorities.
Makes a positive contribution to a staff culture that increasingly embodies excellence and the ethics of servant leadership demonstrated by Christ.
Regularly participate in All Bethany ministries, speaker events, conferences, provide prayer and leadership.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Strong, mature, spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ and to practicing habits that cultivate a relationship with Him.
A loyal team player who is able to lead and be led with integrity and is committed to the mission, DNA, values, and vision of Bethany Community Church.
A strong ability to lead through others through mentoring and development of staff.
A leader who is able to envision, adapt to, and architect direction in a quickly changing environment.
Strong operational skills, the ability to integrate into Bethany systems, and the ability to plan long term.
MAT or M.Div. desired; business degree or business experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Five to ten years of effective leadership experience, preferred.
SPECIFICATIONS
Work Schedule : Typical work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 40 hours/week.
Physical Demands : Must be able to work in an office environment, often at a computer workstation. Must be able to move between buildings on campus. Must be able to lift small boxes and/or equipment up to 25lbs.
Working Conditions: Due to seasonal activity, job duties may often require additional hours and availability outside normal working hours. May require flexibility to adjust work schedule from time to time to work earlier or later than regular schedule. Must be able to adapt your approach and priorities in real-time based on shifting demands. Non-smoking buildings and environment.
Compensation : $100,000 - $125,000 Dependent on experience.
