Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Export Trade Compliance Manager to manage and oversee export compliance programs at our site. This is a unique chance to contribute to a dynamic organization and work in a highly specialized defence manufacture

Responsibilities of the Export Compliance Manager

  • Collaborate across departments to manage trade compliance processes, including transaction reviews, due diligence, red flag analysis, training, procedure development, and maintaining compliance recordkeeping systems.
  • Lead license generation and administration tasks, including agreements for technical assistance, manufacturing, and distribution. Manage the development, submission, tracking, and execution of these agreements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on trade compliance, keeping up to date with export compliance regulations and communicating policy updates.
  • Utilize trade compliance systems (e.g., OCR) for processing and recordkeeping.
  • Conduct risk analysis on transactions flagged for potential compliance issues.
  • Review and analyze commodity and technical data for accurate jurisdiction and classification.
  • Prepare and verify export and import documentation for non-standard shipments.

Requirements of the Export Compliance Manager

  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, air waybills, export licenses, and related data.
  • Knowledge of U.S. export/import regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, with the ability to qualify as an Empowered Official.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and at least six years of trade compliance experience, preferably within the Aerospace sector.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
