The Role
* Oversee the Legal, Compliance functions within the company
* Oversee regulatory engagements, including managing relationships with regulators, supervisors, and auditors.
* Provide strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders that supports commercial and long-term business goals.
* Identify key regulatory obligations and integrity risks proactively, ensuring they are addressed in a scalable and practical manner.
* Develop and translate regulatory requirements into internal policies and procedures for implementation across the global organization.
* Represent the regulatory function across various product and business workstreams to ensure regulatory strategies align with global objectives.
* Contribute to the company's controlled and compliant growth within the Japanese payments and financial services industry.

Your Skills
* 15+ years of combined experience in Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and/or Financial Crime
* Experience in the Financial Services, Payment, FinTech industry, or coming from law firms - with the relevant practice areas
* Some management experience
* Proficient in both English and Japanese
* [nice-to-have] Bar qualification from any jurisdictions, or Compliance related certifications (CCEP, CAMS, CRCM, CFE, CIA, etc.)

* 20,000,000 yen - 35,000,000 yen
