About the Role

Exchange Technology Services (ETS) is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our growing team in a newly created role. We are excited to introduce this position, acknowledging the crucial role HR will play in supporting our expanding team and enhancing our workplace culture. As the inaugural HR Manager at ETS, you will have the opportunity to enhance and continue to develop our HR functions.

Role Overview

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s HR functions. This includes talent management, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, compliance and policy development, and HR technology and data management. You will play a critical role in aligning human resources strategies with business objectives. You will work closely with management and employees to enhance employee engagement, drive performance, and support the company's overall mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
  • Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Workforce Planning: Identifying future talent needs and developing hiring strategies.
  • Performance Management: Support performance appraisal processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update HR policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Compliance: Stay current with employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  • HR Technology and Data Management: Leverage HR software, analytics, and automation to streamline recruitment, payroll, performance tracking, and compliance while ensuring data security and informed decision-making.
  • Health and Safety: Oversee workplace health and safety initiatives ensuring a safe work environment for employees.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HR, with a focus on strategic Roles.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work effectively with different departments and levels of management
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment and labor laws and HR best practices
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling confidential/sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to clearly communicate policies, provide constructive feedback, and mediate conflicts professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HR systems is an asset
  • Solid organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Certifications :

  • Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred
