Junior Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a rapidly growing consumer electronics company, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their multidisciplinary engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the latest product development and drive the company's growth.

About the Role

As the ideal candidate, you will possess a solid understanding of mechanical and industrial design, coupled with exceptional CAD skills and a keen eye for aesthetics. In this position, you need to stay current with industry trends in both mechanical engineering and industrial design. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that designs align with both technical specifications and market needs. Your expertise will contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing, your efforts will be highly visible to the management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to define, design, build, and test new products from concept to mass production
• Create detailed CAD drawings and design files, ensuring adherence to aesthetic standards and product specifications
• Support team members in designing fixtures for testing and quality control
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and implement sustainable solutions

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, 3D printing, PCB fabrication)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of vaping products (asset)
