Position: Law Clerk – Family Law

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, including financial statements, affidavits, pleadings, and agreements.
• Assist lawyers in managing family law files from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with court deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel regarding case matters and document requests.
• Conduct legal research and compile case law summaries to support legal proceedings.
• Manage and organize case files, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Skills and Experience:

• Family Law Expertise: Strong knowledge of family law procedures, court processes, and legal documentation.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple files with accuracy and efficiency.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and legal professionals.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a law clerk in a family law practice.
• Education: Law Clerk diploma or equivalent certification is required.

Extra Consideration will be given to those with experience in: Family Law Litigation, Divorce and Custody Cases, Financial Disclosure, Court Filing Procedures, Legal Research, and Client Communication.
