Job Description

We are looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) professional to join our client's team to design and develop engaging learning programs that align with business, HR, and talent management objectives. This role involves creating instructional frameworks, content maps, prototypes, narrative scripts, and storyboards across various delivery methods.

This is a 12-month contract which requires the talent to work onsite at our client's office in Markham, Ottawa, Edmonton or Montreal 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Design and contribute to L&D programs by creating instructional frameworks, content structures, and interactive learning materials in multiple formats.
  • Blended Learning Solutions: Recommend the optimal mix of instructor-led training, hands-on activities, and web-based learning to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity, ensuring timely updates in L&D tracking tools and databases.
  • Accessibility & Inclusion: Ensure learning materials adhere to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility principles, leveraging existing templates and standards where applicable.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expertise in instructional design and maintaining consistent communication with SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure learning solutions meet quality standards, align with business needs, and include appropriate evaluation and maintenance plans.
  • Industry Best Practices: Stay informed about emerging trends, external best practices, and new technologies in instructional design, learning consulting, and program evaluation.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring processes align with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Learning & Development (L&D)
  • Expertise in designing e-learning solutions
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong project management skills, specifically for learning projects
  • Experience developing learning curriculums
  • Experience in the banking sector

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (French & English) – an asset
