About the Role

In this role, the Legal Counsel will be joining our team and will provide support and advice to senior leadership and staff of Titanium and its subsidiaries. You will report directly to Titanium’s General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, and work closely with members of the Human Resources, Sales, and Operations teams. The Legal Counsel will focus primarily on reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, taking carriage of various litigation matters, and providing general advice on employment-related issues. At the same time, you will also have exposure to all areas of the law that arise and intersect with Titanium’s everyday business needs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Draft and revise agreements, releases, and other legal documentation with the view to protecting Company rights and minimizing risks
  • Provide interpretation and clarification, if necessary, of the Company’s stipulated requirements and legal position in addressing issues, internally or externally
  • Ensure legal compliance through research and maintenance of the Company’s knowledge bank with updates on amendments to legislation as they become known
  • Conduct all matters in a professional manner, with integrity and accountability

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or recognized equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law and employment law is an asset
  • Litigation experience is preferred
