About Us: 

Longevity Care is a leading provider of senior care services, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing top-notch home care services within our retirement home facility. 

Position Overview:  

As an LPN with Longevity Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our senior residents. Your responsibilities will primarily involve initial client assessment, utilizing interRAI assessment knowledge, and maintaining comprehensive client files. This position is part-time, offering flexibility with a schedule of 4-6 mornings a week, and will be assigned in Glenmorgan SW, Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Conduct client assessments using interRAI assessment tools to determine individual care needs and develop personalized care plans. 
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic well-being of each resident. 
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, documenting assessments, care plans, and progress notes. 
• Administer medications and provide skilled nursing care as required. 
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals. 
• Foster a warm and compassionate environment, promoting resident dignity and independence. 
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the caregiving team. 

Qualifications:  

• Current LPN licensure in Alberta. 
• Experience in community based senior care, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of elderly individuals. 
• Proficiency in assessment tools and knowledge of client assessment best practices. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining client files. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Compassion, patience, and empathy when working with senior residents. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. 
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required). 
• Driver's License and insured and reliable vehicle
