What You will Do:

Pengcorp is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Manager to lead our Data Visualization and Analytics team in the development of cutting edge software for clients in the Oil and Gas Industry. Working directly under the Director of Industrial Operations, the successful candidate will be:

  • Leading a team through unique software development projects and challenges, mentor and provide technical direction to team members and regularly provide feedback.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing project documentation following client and company specifications.
  • Working with and updating clients on project deliverables and existing progress, including PI System performance optimization, and monitoring/maintenance of PI System Security and version control/patch deployment.
  • Perform quality control/quality assurance for deliverables and existing projects and leading, evaluating, and overseeing project activities and progress.
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a high performing team by utilizing soft skills to provide guidance and coaching staff and team members.
  • Supporting, troubleshooting, testing, implementing, and monitoring PI System server interfaces, and client tools.
  • Follow best practices for the creation, monitoring, and maintenance of AF Hierarchy, PI Analysis, and PI Tags.
  • Reviewing technical and end user documentation for final presentation from data agreements, EULAs, user manuals, and code documentation.
  • Collaborate with directors, clients, and team members to build the best possible product and provide service that goes above and beyond industry requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with client representatives and provide high quality service to both build and roll out software and develop data solution to suite their needs and business operations.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, validating, and commissioning as needed.

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Current APEGA/P.Eng or equivalent technical designation in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing high performing professionals.
  • At least one OSISoft Certification, such as PI System Installation System, PI System Infrastructure specialist, or strong working experience with BI tools (Minimum of 5 years.)
  • Experience working in Agile or SCRUM environments.
  • Knowledge of QA methods, Test Driven Development (TDD) and tools such as Gherkin and Mockito.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, interpersonal, analytical, time management, and collaborative skills.
  • Experience with Oil and Gas processes and mechanical engineering is a huge asset.
