Your Opportunity: Join us in a pivotal role driving data excellence and CRM innovation in Japan. As the Data & CRM specialist, you will lead two core initiatives-
commercial data management and CRM (Veeva C360) operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, enhance customer engagement processes, and support strategic decision-making through advanced analytics and dashboard development. This is a unique opportunity to shape data-driven commercial success in a dynamic, global environment.
Your Responsibilities: - Lead commercial data initiatives in collaboration with business units and global teams to support planning and performance tracking.
- Manage daily operations of Veeva CRM and related systems (Align, Network, PromoMats), ensuring data accuracy and system stability.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to deliver actionable insights for sales and marketing.
- Evaluate and recommend new data sources and tools, ensuring usability and alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to localise and implement data tools and technology roadmaps in Japan.
- Support CRM configuration, data updates, and user enablement, while promoting adoption through training and change management.
- Work with SFE and cross-functional teams to improve KPIs, reporting processes, and CRM usage.
- Deliver regular analytics and KPI reports, and respond to data-related enquiries from senior stakeholders.
Your Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or science, data science or software
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial data management, dashboard development, or reporting-either in-house or via consulting
- Practical knowledge of Veeva CRM operations, including target setting, territory management, data extraction, and module rollout
- Experience in sales force effectiveness (SFE), such as customer targeting, territory alignment, and incentive planning
- Familiarity with technology roadmaps, business case development, and collaboration with IT and vendors
- Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English
- Proven ability to analyse data, generate insights, and support decision-making
- Skilled in project planning, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficient in tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, python, and life science data sources (e.g., IQVIA)
