We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Marketing & Communications Manager to lead NorLand’s brand presence and internal communications. In this role, you will develop and execute marketing strategies, oversee content creation, and drive digital and traditional campaigns that enhance engagement with employees, clients, and industry partners. You will collaborate with leadership to align messaging with business goals, manage internal and external communications, and measure the impact of marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong storytelling, digital expertise, and a passion for building brand awareness in a dynamic industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Brand Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to enhance NorLand’s brand and market presence ● Oversee content creation, social media, website management, digital and physical advertising
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop internal communications initiatives to enhance employee engagement and alignment with company goals, including company newsletters, announcements, and leadership messages
  • Enhance NorLand’s brand reputation by delivering cohesive messaging that resonates with diverse stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across marketing materials and communications.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive engagement and business growth
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications efforts, leveraging data to refine strategies and improve ROI
  • Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on performance outcomes
  • Research industry trends and best practices to keep marketing efforts innovative and impactful

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead and manage a small communications team, providing mentorship, direction, and support to drive performance and professional development
  • Ensure team members are empowered and aligned with NorLand’s strategic goals while fostering a collaborative and positive work culture
  • Oversee workload distribution, setting clear goals and expectations, and ensuring timely project completion
  • Manage relationships with external partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Monitor the performance of agencies and external vendors, providing feedback and guidance to ensure effective partnerships

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing and communications, managing brand, multichannel campaigns, and corporate communications preferred
  • Exceptional written communication, editing, and listening skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences
  • Ability to serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership and collaborate with key business functions to align marketing and communications initiatives with company goals
  • Strong ability to build relationships across departments, providing guidance and ensuring a unified approach to achieving business success
  • Ability to develop and execute high-impact marketing campaigns and strong organizational skills to lead multiple projects and deadlines
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with experience leading initiatives and managing teams
  • Proficiency in marketing and project management tools and analytics platforms to measure performance and derive insights
  • Experience in construction or similar technical industry is an asset
  • This position is office-based with some site travel required. Access to a reliable transportation and current driver’s license is needed for occasional field visits

Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience. NorLand offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, extended health and dental plans with premiums fully paid by the company, as well as, paid time off and RRSP matching.
