Our work includes lead generation, stakeholder engagement, market entry strategy, partnership development, and representation of clients in-market.

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and organized Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital to enhancing Pedal & Shift’s presence and supporting our clients’ marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, digital marketing, and communication strategy. They will be responsible for managing marketing initiatives, coordinating events, and overseeing client marketing and advertising efforts. They will also be responsible for attending networking events and conferences on behalf of Pedal & Shift.

Key Responsibilities Pedal & Shift Marketing & Advertising

• Develop and execute Pedal & Shift’s marketing and advertising strategies to increase brand awareness and client engagement.
• Manage Pedal & Shift’s online presence, including website updates, social media management, and blog content.
• Create and manage email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
• Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven improvements.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Client Marketing & Advertising

• Support clients with their marketing needs, including managing website content, social media updates, and advertising campaigns.
• Create content for client reports, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Develop and implement strategies for growing client audiences and enhancing brand visibility.
• Coordinate with client marketing teams and subcontractors to deliver high-quality marketing outputs.

Content Creation & Writing

• Write and edit compelling content for reports, presentations, websites, blogs, and social media.
• Ensure all written materials align with brand voice and messaging guidelines.
• Assist with content strategy development to support both Pedal & Shift and client objectives.

Subcontractor Management

• Oversee marketing subcontractors, such as graphic designers and content creators, ensuring deliverables meet quality and deadline expectations.

Website & Blog Management

• Maintain Pedal & Shift’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date and engaging.
• Manage the company blog, including writing posts, editing contributions, and planning content calendars.
• Optimize website content for SEO and monitor website performance.

Event Planning

• Plan and execute marketing and client events, including networking sessions, presentations, and community engagements.
• Coordinate event logistics, marketing materials, and post-event follow-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing.
• Proven experience in marketing, content creation, and digital communications.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency with social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
• Experience managing websites and blogs, including SEO optimization.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience collaborating with subcontractors and creative professionals.
• Event planning experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Experience working with or within the renewable energy, ocean technology, or engineering sectors is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $50,000
• Group benefits eligibility after 3 months (health, dental, vision).
