Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Are you a passionate reader? Do you want to help readers discover their next favorite author, book, Manga or Fliptoon? The Amazon Books marketing team believes reading is essential for a healthy society. Come join our team on our mission to inspire readers by making it easy to read more and get more out of reading.

We are seeking a creative, data-driven, and results-oriented Brand and Social Marketing Manager to lead the strategic development and deployment of best-in-class marketing programs that engage readers and drive the long term growth of the Japan Books business.

The successful candidate has a deep understanding of books culture in Japan and will bridge their passion for brand building while engaging customers across social platforms. You will lead the development of brand building programs and develop an engaged community of evangelists across Amazon Books and Kindle’s rapidly growing customer base. The right person is a cross-functional, creative, and results-driven marketer who is passionate about building social communities and can execute high-visibility campaigns efficiently. You will hold a high bar for execution and measurement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to identify unmet opportunities then develop solutions, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Cross-team coordination, project management, executive communication, presentation and negotiation skills are required. This role is critical in executing strategic initiatives, providing exceptional customer experiences via above the line and social channels, and driving functional excellence and process improvement. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and in a team setting. You will lead the deployment of new programs, and work with key agency partners to bring those programs to the marketplace. You have first-class written and verbal communication skills, and are comfortable negotiating with key business partners and global Amazon teams to gain alignment on marketing plans and ultimately manage all aspects of project execution.
