YOUR DAILY ROLE:

• Perform installations and maintenance, including changing layouts and setting up all machinery as directed by maintenance or production leadership;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of conveying equipment such as pumps, shakers, etc;
• Starts and observes machines to detect malfunctions and makes required adjustments and repairs;
• Take ownership and responsibility for the safety of each staff member and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations;
• Comply with good manufacturing practice requirements and perform all work in a safe manner following all established policies and procedures;
• Document all maintenance activities and logging them accordingly, in accordance with company policies and procedures;
• Attend training sessions or utilize other methods to acquire knowledge of seaming equipment or systems;
• Follow directions from the Maintenance Lead.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Must have Industrial Millwright Mechanic (433A) certification;
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment;
• Complete understanding of mechanical devices and exposure to electrical troubleshooting;
• Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures for continuous cookers and controllers is an asset;
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team;
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and willingness to learn while role-modeling Nortera’s Core Values;
• Must meet minimum dexterity requirements of this position: bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, etc;
• Flexible work schedule to work 12-hour continental shift rotation and open to on-call shifts including overtime;
• Be technically trained/trainable in all aspects of our plant equipment and systems;
• Understand productivity and efficiency indicators and their impact;
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
• Understand quality systems such as: GMPs, HACCP, and Food Safety;
• Must have knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
