BRENLO Custom Wood Mouldings & Doors has been the preferred wood moulding supplier for custom home builders, architects, and designers for over 30 years. Our commitment to superior quality begins in our grinding room, where hand-cut knives made from top carbide steel are used. These knives are then utilized in our state-of-the-art moulders, processing kiln-dried FAS lumber at a precise rate of 22 knife cuts per inch.

With nearly 200,000 square feet of distribution and manufacturing space, we maintain a vast inventory of trim, doors, and plywood, ensuring projects are completed “right and on time.”

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Moulder Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating the Moulder machine, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. The Moulder Operator plays a crucial role in our production process, contributing to our reputation for excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Daily Work Schedule: Check the work schedule, identify rush orders, and establish the daily work plan. Retrieve the cutting head from the Tool Room, and check and adjust it as necessary.
• Moulder Setup: Set up the Moulder and adjust it to specifications. Review work order requirements, conduct test runs, check measurements, and ensure cutting quality aligns with samples or drawings. Make adjustments as needed.
• Material Management: Request materials from the Forklift Driver, ensuring they meet quality standards. Feed and/or tail boards appropriately during production.
• Quality Control: Monitor quality throughout production, removing any defects using a radial arm saw. Ensure all products meet the required specifications.
• Order Completion: Accurately tally the length and number of pieces. Complete orders by verifying that all products match the order paperwork.
• Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.

Skills Required

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of setting up and operating the Moulder efficiently and safely.
• Product Knowledge: Understanding of acceptable mix of lengths and optimizing cutting for maximum yield.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure precision, accuracy, and quality in all tasks.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physically demanding work requirements of the role.

• Material Efficiency: Minimize material wastage and reduce Moulder downtime.
• Adherence to Standards: Consistently adhere to Brenlo's operational and safety standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Keep shop equipment in good working order to maintain productivity.
