HAYS Manufacturing is partnering with a great client to recruit two Packaging Supervisors for weekend shifts (Thursday to Sunday, 10-hour shifts).

Your new Role

HAYS Manufacturing is partnering with a great client to recruit two Packaging Supervisors for their Langley, BC site. The Packaging Supervisor will oversee and coordinate packaging operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely task completion. This role involves optimizing resources to boost productivity, minimize downtime, increase profits, and reduce costs. Additionally, the Packaging Supervisor will provide direction to supporting departments to achieve corporate goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• Set Objectives: Establish daily, weekly, and monthly goals and communicate them to packaging employees.
• Organize Workflow: Assign responsibilities, prepare schedules, and oversee employees to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure Safety and Maintenance: Guarantee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
• Compliance and Performance Tracking: Execute plans to comply with regulations (HACCP, GMP, BRC, Quality Assurance) and track efficiencies and productivity against targets.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to achieve shift targets and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain relevant documentation, evaluate packaging processes, and develop training programs for staff.

Your Skills:

• Experience: 5+ years in production/packaging operations management, preferably in Nutraceutical, Pharma, Cannabis, or Food/Beverage industries.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in GPP/GMP environments, knowledge of raw materials, quality management systems, Lean Six Sigma, and mechanical aptitude.
• Management Skills: Hands-on approach, proactive and collaborative process management, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, team-building, influencing, negotiation, computer (Excel and SAP), and analytical skills.
