Position: Paralegal – Family Law

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

A well-respected law firm specializing in family law is actively seeking an experienced Paralegal – Family Law to join its dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support cases.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court for procedural matters, case conferences, and motions where permitted.
  • Conduct legal research and provide case law analysis to support legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff regarding case updates and procedural requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal deadlines and court procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Family Law Expertise: Strong knowledge of Ontario family law, legal procedures, and court processes.
  • Independence: Ability to manage cases efficiently and work with minimal supervision.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in family law.
  • Education: Paralegal diploma and a valid P1 license in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Extra Consideration will be given to those with experience in: Family Law Litigation, Court Appearances, Divorce and Custody Cases, Legal Research, Case Management, and Client Advocacy.
