Job Description

One of our clients, a leading global oil and gas company, is seeking an experienced 3rd Class Power Engineer to join their operations team. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient operation of plant units, sulfur recovery systems, and utilities while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Support: Work closely with the Control Room Technician (CRT) to monitor plant processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Endorse Work Permits (as Area Operator) and act as Isolating Authority (IA) when required.
• Follow Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessment protocols.
• Participate in emergency response activities and adhere to OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System) standards.
• Equipment & Process Management:
• Conduct routine surveillance rounds , log data, and report abnormalities.
• Assist in start-up, commissioning, and shutdown activities.
• Perform minor maintenance (e.g., valve adjustments, chemical handling).
• Documentation & Communication:
• Maintain shift logs and ensure clear handover between crews.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with CIMS (Controls Integrity Management System) .

Qualifications:

• Mandatory: Valid 3rd Class Power Engineer Certification .
• Strong technical knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, steam systems, and process controls .

Work Schedule:

• Rotating shift pattern (e.g., 5 days on/5 off, 4 nights on/5 off).
