Looking for a highly skilled, and organized individual for the position of Power Engineer at seafood processing facility in Newfoundland, Canada.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Power engineer will carry out their responsibilities with exceptional precision and will be accountable for, but not limited to:
- Oversee shift operating engineers, managing their schedules and ensuring their tasks are performed accurately and safely.
- Experience with blast and plate freezers will be an asset.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all ammonia and freon refrigeration and distribution systems at the plant, adhering to provincial/federal regulations.
- Perform checks to maximize efficiency of equipment and resources.
- Take accountability for the engine room and equipment.
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers for procurement of parts and spares for engine room equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
