Job Description

The Power Trading Manager or Associate will be an integral part of the Sales team, focusing primarily on energy and natural resources. They will be responsible for overseeing trading operations, making strategic decisions, and developing new business in Tokyo.

Description

* Manage assets and operations for grid storage battery projects, including equipment inspection planning and contract negotiations with aggregators and retailers.
* Develop optimal bidding plans for electricity market transactions across wholesale, balancing power, and capacity markets.
* Oversee contract management, income/expense tracking, budget analysis, and financial modeling.
* Administer O&M contracts, loan and equity agreements, and handle sponsor/lender reporting.
* Coordinate with power companies, local governments, stakeholders, and manage licenses and permits.
* Analyze project performance and power generation efficiency reports to maximize output.
* Support accounting, taxation, audits, and prepare business reports for regulatory bodies.
* Contribute to business stabilization strategies, new project planning, and share sales of existing project

Profile

A successful Power Trading Manager or Associate should have:

* Minimum 2 years' experience in power business, aggregator or storage battery business, or related finance/accounting roles in power or infrastructure sectors.
* Experience in renewable asset management or real estate funds is highly valued.
* Strong team player with a responsible work ethic aligned with the company's philosophy.
* Japanese language proficiency sufficient to understand contracts; business-level English (TOEIC 730+ preferred).
* Bachelor's degree or higher.
* Solid numerical and analytical skills, especially Excel proficiency.
* Basic PowerPoint skills for material creation.
