Your Role

A Producer at McCann Canada is someone who is passionate about creative and finding ways to make great work! Our producers are not only the main liaise between account and creative teams and our production partners, they are also multi-taskers who produce creative across all platforms including broadcast/video, photo, digital content production, activations and R&D. You will leverage your understanding of production to guide teams and clients through a project lifecycle. This role requires an ability to communicate strongly and effectively to drive decisions and next steps.

What you will do…

  • Work directly with account teams to understand the overall business objectives and strategies
  • Plan production processes, including but not limited to managing deliverables, budgets, schedules, talent contracts, in its entirety from pre-production through to delivery
  • Engage and select production partners, triple bidding vendors as required, negotiating competitive rates and procurement
  • Estimate scope of work using industry standard rates
  • Manage third party vendors or offshore partners as necessary in the delivery of projects
  • Manage financials, POs, billing for all project related costs
  • Create and oversee/manage production calendars
  • Maintain communication with creative, account management and financial departments to ensure smooth workflow
  • Produce all forms of content from conception to completion including broadcast, digital content, radio, print, activations, R&D, case studies and new business pitches

Who you will be…

  • Minimum of 3 years agency experience or similar directly producing a variety of productions
  • A passion for all aspects of creative
  • Possess a creative mind with a love of all things production
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization, communication and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of production processes from creative concepts through to delivery
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Experience managing project financials
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • A team player who understands how to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving organization
  • Ability to multi-task / manage many projects at once
  • Existing relationships with leading production vendors
  • Working knowledge of ACTRA and UDA
  • Willingness to work off hours as required as per production schedules
  • Experience outside of traditional broadcast including activations, digital production or R&D a plus
