Introduction

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Support Worker to join our team at a leading agricultural production facility. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working in both warm and cold environments, performing hands-on tasks, and contributing to the movement and processing of seed and related materials. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the workday and open to rotational shift work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, supporting warehousing operations, and performing basic preventative maintenance. A strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform conditioning activities including cleaning, sizing, treating, and packaging seeds.
• Assist in warehouse duties such as shipping/receiving, interplant movement, and inventory management.
• Operate forklifts (training available if needed).
• Support general repair and maintenance tasks as directed.
• Follow site Work Instructions, SOPs, and quality plans.
• Complete and maintain documentation including safety, quality, inventory, and grower records.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma (required for long-term or permanent consideration).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in hot, cold, and dusty conditions.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Reliable transportation to and from the site.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to follow safety standards and wear proper PPE.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience (or willingness to learn).
• Two-year diploma in agriculture or a related field.
• Experience in seed handling, light industrial work, warehousing, or manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with production agriculture.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

• All PPE is provided except for steel-toed boots. Required PPE includes:
• CSA-approved steel-toe boots (green triangle, ankle coverage).
• Leather gloves.
• CSA-approved safety glasses.
• Hearing protection.
• Hi-viz safety vest.
• Long sleeves when handling treated seed.
• Class E hi-viz hard hat (provided by employer).
