Position Overview and Summary:

This is a remote role with potential for site visits (Depending on candidate location).

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for project management, a collaborative spirit, and a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion. In this role, you will work closely with team members and stakeholders to achieve common goals, exercise critical thinking, and make sound judgments to drive projects forward. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of technology and improvement projects from initiation to closure. The role emphasizes managing a portfolio of multiple and concurrent projects throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages all aspects of the projects and other internal initiatives as required

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to develop a comprehensive project definition on critical components: objectives, scope, assumptions, deliverables, key success measures, timelines, required resources, potential risks, anticipated benefits, and budgets
  • Work iteratively with sponsors and stakeholders to refine the project definition and project plan; promptly identify and address changes to scope, quality, timeline, and deliverables
  • Lead, coordinate, and follow-up with project stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes, overcome hurdles, seek collaborative solutions, and provide leadership and support in change management
  • Monitor and manage project quality, progress, and performance; guide stakeholders towards completing project priorities that ensure deliverables are valuable and time-bound, objectives are met, success measures are achieved, and the business needs are satisfied
  • Act as a central point of contact to proactively communicate project and portfolio statuses, risks and issues, and project impediments
  • Develop and execute timely mitigation strategies; take corrective action to address risks and issues; advise and guide stakeholders in overcoming barriers
  • Interact with senior management to share feedback on project and portfolio information that impacts business goals, strategies, and priorities; and recommend approaches to integrate opportunities and negotiate trade-offs
  • Perform collaborative project retrospectives to assess outcomes and identify opportunities for improving project management practices

Support the Operational Excellence program (10%)

  • Improve internal processes: Review and enhance our project management processes and frameworks. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with leadership to make our project management practice a model of operational excellence. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Act as an ambassador of Operational Excellence to improve organizational culture by raising awareness with internal stakeholders of concepts and tools related to continuous improvement and business process management and operational performance

Qualification and Requirements :

  • PMP/CAPM or equivalent designation or certification
  • 3+ year(s) of work experience in project management roles
  • A university or college degree (or 5+ years of relevant work experience)
  • Proficient with O365 including Teams, SharePoint and planner
  • Capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible and adaptable. Able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in developing project plans and managing projects end-to-end
  • Ability to set schedules, deadlines, milestones and work/project timelines to support delivery of assigned projects

Desirable :

  • LSS GreenBelt Formal Business Improvement accreditation (Lean-Six Sigma, CBAP/CCBA/ECBA, CBPL/CBPP/CBPA)
  • ITIL
  • PROSCI
  • Experience working with ConnectWise is an asset

Compensation: In accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act the range for this role for BC residents is ranging from $65K to $90K, with a highly competitive commission structure on top.
