Job Description

Your New Employer:

Our client is a leading, fully integrated real estate company with a robust portfolio of high-quality, strategically located, and geographically diversified assets across North America. With over 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, they have built a stellar reputation as a trusted market leader. Their long-term success is rooted in a strong commitment to operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and value creation across their assets.

Your New Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced, driven, and service-oriented Property Manager to join their high-performing team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and profitable day-to-day operations of a prominent retail property. As a key leader on-site, you will be responsible for overseeing tenant relations, property performance, and customer experience, all while supporting broader strategic initiatives in leasing, marketing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the retail property, ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting environment for tenants and shoppers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail tenants, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with leasing, marketing, and operations teams to support occupancy targets and revenue growth.
  • Monitor tenant sales performance and track financial performance metrics; assist in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of monthly and quarterly operating budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage tenant build-outs, renovations, and capital projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule and with minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Identify and implement innovative initiatives to drive foot traffic, improve customer engagement, and enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for competitive positioning and property enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the property and company at relevant industry functions, tenant meetings, and stakeholder engagements.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Rental Property Management License (preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years of proven experience in retail property management, ideally within a shopping centre or mixed-use environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders including tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, monitor budgets, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Results-driven and organized, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or equivalent).

What’s in It for You:

This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable real estate organization and take a hands-on leadership role at a high-profile retail destination. You'll benefit from a collaborative work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a lasting impact on a marquee asset.

What You Need to Do Now:

If you are a property management professional looking to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you. Please send your resume and cover letter in confidence to Callum at Taylor Ryan via email at callum@taylorryan.com .
