Receptionist (Summer Student Opportunity)

The Role:

As Receptionist, you will have the opportunity to leverage your passion for excellence in customer service by ensuring all visitors to the Toronto office of Arthritis Society Canada receive a warm and professional welcome. You will also be able to further grow and develop your administrative skills through ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of Reception, handling and triaging incoming calls and emails, and general office administration.

Our Operations team:

Our operations team ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operational and administrative running of our organization, with talented people nationwide in the areas of HR, IT, Finance & Data. With one eye on excellence in internal client service to our partners across all business units, and one eye on innovation, we are driven to equipping our people proactively with the strategic and operational resources they need to be successful in making an impact.

Key Accountabilities:

• Greets all visitors to the Toronto office in a professional and warm manner, informing the relevant staff members of their arrival.
• Handles all incoming calls to the main Reception line in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
• Reviews, triages and responds to the Toronto General Voicemailbox and Info@Mailbox.
• Reviews and triages Toronto FAX Inbox mail, including forwarding confidential doctor’s referrals and patient details to AREP.
• Ensures there is always a presence at the Reception Desk throughout the day during business hours.
• Handles light administrative and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Passion for, and preferably experience in, customer care, with the ability to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running and operation of Reception.
• Proven track record of professionalism when dealing with internal and external clients.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills - French language skills an asset.
• High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential matters.
• Excellent ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task.
• Technologically savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

• This position is designated to our Toronto office, which means you will work 5 days a week from our Toronto office.
• It is anticipated this contract will last from May 2025 – September 2025 approximately.
