About The Job

As a Recruiter – Events & Hospitality, you will play a key role in sourcing top talent across fast-paced, high-volume accounts within hospitality, food service, and live event industries. You’ll be responsible for recruiting for a wide range of roles - from back-of-house kitchen staff and food service workers to technical event staff, riggers, and setup crews.

You’ll work in an environment where priorities shift quickly, so flexibility, responsiveness, and strong client engagement are key. This role is ideal for someone who excels in high-volume recruitment and enjoys staying closely connected to both clients and candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Recruit across a variety of hospitality and event roles, including cooks, dishwashers, catering staff, riggers, AV technicians, and event setup/teardown crews
  • Handle full-cycle recruitment for high-volume roles, ensuring speed and quality in sourcing, screening, and placement
  • Build and manage strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies and relationship management
  • Be client-facing - act as a key point of contact for hiring managers, HR teams, and onsite supervisors to ensure you understand operational needs, shift schedules, and workplace culture
  • Coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and validate required certifications (e.g., food handling, WHMIS, equipment handling)
  • Support onboarding efforts including scheduling orientations, collecting documentation, and confirming first-day logistics
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of candidate and client interactions within the internal ATS

What We Need From You

  • 3+ years of recruitment experience in the hospitality and events sector, with a proven ability to deliver in high-pressure, high-volume environments
  • Existing relationships and pipelines within hospitality, with a pool of pre-vetted candidates ready to engage – ideal for someone who can activate talent quickly to meet urgent client demands
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment with tight turnarounds, balancing client demands and candidate readiness without sacrificing quality
  • Strong sourcing skills across job boards, LinkedIn, social networks, referrals, and community outreach - whatever it takes to get candidates confirmed fast!
  • Highly organized with strong administrative skills; able to track recruitment activity, onboarding requirements, and compliance needs with precision
  • Personable, solutions-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment - urgency, responsiveness, and grit are essential
  • Flexible and agile - events and shifts can start early or extend past regular business hours (9am-5pm), so the ability to support varying schedules is important!
