About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Recruitment Specialist to help attract, source, and hire top talent while supporting broader HR Generalist initiatives. In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment and work on employee engagement, onboarding, and general HR support functions to help ASCO build a strong, high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Promote ASCO’s employer brand through recruitment marketing and networking.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Lead onboarding programs to ensure a smooth new hire transition.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives to enhance workplace culture.
  • Assist with HR policies and best practices, ensuring compliance with labour laws.
  • HR Generalist duties such as benefits, performance management, and compensation.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in talent acquisition or HR generalist roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • CHRP designation preferred.
  • Bilingual in English & French (oral and written) is required.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and social media recruiting tools.
  • Knowledge of labour laws, employment standards, and unionized environments.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Teams, & Outlook).
