RETAIL STORE MANAGER — DRMERS CLUB (GASTOWN, VANCOUVER)

Location: Vancouver, BC

Type: Full-Time

Start Date: Part time training starting early June till July, official full time start date in August

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Store Manager to lead with confidence, care, and a strong sense of ownership. This role goes beyond day-to-day retail operations; it’s about creating a space that reflects the heart of DRMERS CLUB in real life.

The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about both people and product. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and knows how to lead a team with clarity and empathy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

STORE LEADERSHIP + OPERATIONS

  • Oversee all aspects of daily store operations with excellence and care
  • Maintain stock levels, manage inventory flow, and lead restocks with precision
  • Partner with HQ to implement new launches, campaigns, and promotions seamlessly
  • Monitor sales performance and share key insights to inform strategy and restocks
  • Maintain visual standards, cleanliness, and in-store presentation that reflects our aesthetic

TEAM + CULTURE

  • Understands how to hire, lead, and coach a passionate in-store team when needed
  • Train staff on brand voice, product knowledge, and customer experience best practices
  • Hold team members accountable with clear communication, constructive feedback, and regular check-ins
  • Lead by example on the floor—hosting, selling, and setting the tone

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

  • Ensure an elevated in-store experience that aligns with the DRMERS CLUB brand
  • Build local community through memorable service and ongoing relationships
  • Collaborate with HQ on in-store activations, pop-ups, and community events
  • Help shape the energy of the store as more than just a place to shop—but a place to connect

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail management or a similar leadership role
  • Experience with Shopify POS is required
  • Strong people management skills; able to train, coach, and hold a team accountable
  • Highly organized with a strong understanding of retail KPIs
  • Background in fashion, streetwear, or lifestyle retail preferred
  • Previous experience opening a store is a plus
  • Adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable with evolving responsibilities
  • Passion for building community and genuinely aligned with DRMERS CLUB’s vision
  • Flexible availability (including weekends, events, and seasonal needs)
