Are you a dedicated security professional looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a Security Guard to provide top-notch security and life safety services to our tenants and visitors.

Position : Security Guard
Location : Calgary, AB
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with the ability to work on a rotating shift basis, 24/7, including all statutory holidays if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate access control/security systems, duress alarms, CCTV systems, building fire alarm systems, intercom systems, and elevator systems from a central security control room.
• Respond to security and other occurrences, maintaining personal notes, a daily security occurrences log, and completing online security reports.
• Train team members on access card systems, control room operations, fire control room procedures, and patrols.
• Provide investigation support and ensure completion and accuracy of team logs and checks.
• Assist with emergency response, including fire incidents and medical emergencies.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards by team members, contractors, and employees.
• Take on the responsibilities of the Team Leader in their absence.
• Meet and greet guests and clients, issue access cards, and provide strong customer service.
• Interface with various departments and personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide crowd control during emergencies or emergency drills.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from a team leader.
• Ability to work with the public in a competent and professional manner.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Minimum education: Grade 12 or five years of security-related experience.
• Qualified in Standard First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain it within six weeks of employment).
• Must hold a current Alberta Security Services License.
• Certified Protection Officer (CPO) designation (or willing to obtain).
