Job Title: Semi End Dump/Tandem Driver
Responsibilities
Responsible for following the policies and procedures of Peters Excavating as set by the management team.
Responsible for positively representing Peters Excavating.
Responsible for participating in the Health and Safety Program.
Responsible for proper care and maintenance of the building, property and assets.
Responsible for the quality of worked performed.
Responsible for participating in training sessions.
Requirements
Minimum Class 3A drivers license, 1A preferred
Clean drivers abstract.
Good personality.
Willing to work 10 to 12 hour days and Saturday when required.
Willing to fill in as a labourer when required.
Experience with end dump hauling gravel etc. is preferred, but not required.
Equipment experience would also be an asset but not required.
Mechanical ability an asset but not required.
Drug test.
CSA/Approved Steel toed boots.
Skills and Abilities
Oversee condition and inspection of vehicle.
Tarping to ensure safety and security of cargo.
Loading and unloading of goods.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Monitor vehicle performance.
Perform Preventative maintenance.
Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work alone or in a team setting.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to take on multiple projects at one time.
Excellent communication and leadership skill.
High level of diplomacy.
Detail Oriented.
Ability to take direction and work under little supervision.
