Job Description

A Little About Us

At  Field Trip Health , we’re transforming mental health care by combining psychedelic medicine, modern psychiatry, and compassionate human connection. With clinics across Canada and an expanding at-home therapy program, we’ve helped thousands of people find hope, healing, and lasting change. But behind the scenes? It takes a smart, systems-savvy, heart-led leader to keep everything flowing — and that might just be you.

The Role

We’re looking for a  Senior Director of Operations who can keep our national network of clinics humming. You’re someone who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and purpose. From managing nurse schedules in Ottawa to prepping a new service launch in Vancouver, no two days will look the same — but you’ll love that.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll lead our operational strategy and execution, overseeing clinic performance, compliance, people operations, and more. If the phrase “organized chaos” doesn’t scare you, read on.

What You’ll Own People & Culture

  • Support hiring and onboarding across all locations
  • Ensure staff have access to the right systems and training
  • Act as an escalation point for performance, team dynamics, or tough conversations
  • Keep our culture alive with great communication, town halls, and leadership coaching

Clinical & Day-to-Day Ops

  • Oversee Nurse Clinic Managers, Care Team Manager, and Lead Nurse for smooth scheduling and client flow
  • Ensure all clinics operate in compliance with SOPs, privacy, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Optimize daily workflow — discovery calls, consults, therapy sessions, and more
  • Manage escalated client issues with professionalism, empathy, and speed

Strategy & Performance

  • Set KPIs with the CEO and monitor clinic performance across Canada
  • Forecast staffing and resource needs with Finance and Marketing
  • Lead quarterly planning with Clinic Managers to stay ahead of growth

Compliance & QA

  • Maintain national registry of professional licenses and insurance
  • Prepare for audits, inspections, and College reporting
  • Ensure all controlled acts and delegation protocols are correctly followed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Bridge communication between departments (Marketing, Sales, Clinical Trials, etc.)
  • Operationalize new treatments and campaigns
  • Drive quality improvement through data, feedback, and your good instincts

What You Bring

  • 6+ years in operations leadership, ideally in healthcare or multi-site service environments
  • Experience managing people managers and cross-functional teams
  • Deep knowledge of compliance and HR processes (bonus if you’ve worked with regulated professionals)
  • Comfort with systems like JaneApp, Google Workspace, and CRM tools
  • Strong instincts for when to follow the rules, and when to rewrite them
  • You lead with clarity, compassion, and accountability

Bonus Points

  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Experience in mental health, psychedelics, or regulated healthcare
  • You’ve scaled something before (we’re growing fast!)
  • You care deeply about getting people the care they deserve

What You’ll Love

  • Work that actually helps people
  • Smart, kind, and motivated colleagues
  • Employee Option Plan, Paid time off, and professional development
  • A culture that values integrity, curiosity, and innovation
  • Includes
