Job Opportunity: Senior Scrum Master

Location: Mississauga (Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Overview:

Our direct insurance client is looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join their dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring in-office presence for 3 days per week and the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 2 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and support Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
• Guide and mentor multiple teams to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Remove impediments to ensure that the team can focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Collaborate with product owners to ensure that product backlogs are well-defined and prioritized.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, ensuring that Scrum practices are consistently followed.
• Act as a servant leader to support the team, removing roadblocks, and ensuring continuous improvement.
• Track and report on key Scrum metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 10+ years of experience working in Agile environments, particularly within the insurance or financial services sectors.
• Strong understanding of Scrum methodologies and Agile practices.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Certification in Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
