Job Description

This position provides basic oversight of Team Members and restaurant operations during a specific shift. Follow cash handling procedures. Greet guests, take food orders, prepare food, and perform table visits. Ensure all guests get a premium experience and other duties as necessary to ensure a smoothly run shift while maintaining a sincere, caring and personable image for the guest and team. Maintain company standards of quality, cooking times and presentation of food, service, atmosphere, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor Team Members and restaurant operations during a specified shift.
  • Keep the staff motivated at work.
  • Control waste product and portioning.
  • Follow cash handling procedures, track and deposit all sources of income received by the restaurant during shift.
  • Greet guests, thank and say good-bye to guests, take food orders, prepare food, and perform table visits and other duties as necessary to ensure a smoothly run shift while maintaining a sincere, caring and personable image of the management for the guest and staff.
  • Deliver a “Fat” experience to all guests (Call outs/Call backs, music management, figure 8’s, perpetual motion, touch tables)
  • Maintain company standards of quality, cooking times and presentation of food, service, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation, safety, and staff job satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe work environment as determined by company, federal standards and regulations.
  • Accurately complete all necessary daily and weekly checklists for your shift.
  • Ensures compliance with all Resort policies, standards and procedures.
  • Comply with all Provincial and Federal labor laws at all times.
  • To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned

NON-ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inventories.
  • Train all new team members and shift leaders according to company procedures and guidelines.
  • All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position provides basic oversight of Team Members and restaurant operations during a specific shift. This position carries out basic supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies usually during the Operator’s absence. Responsibilities are limited and include occasionally training new employees, assigning and directing work during scheduled shift and ensuring guests get a “Fat” experience during the shift.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • AGLC - Proserve/Protect preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Team building skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Basic to intermediate computer literacy is required
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work with a diverse work team and meet adversity with professionalism
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of POS systems preferred
  • A propensity to provide Superior Guest Service
  • Maintain smile and pleasant demeanor

The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
